RIMTA’s Building Numeracy Series: Addition & Subtraction with Ann Elise Record, Winter/Spring 2024
Join us for six 90-minute professional development sessions in 2023-24 school year focused on building conceptual understanding of Addition and Subtraction concepts K-5.
Ann Elise Record will lead the work on best practices in elementary math instruction including research-based guidelines for developing an intervention program, math fact fluency, problem solving, and building conceptual understanding of math concepts K-5. Embedded into these sessions will be the sharing of practical ideas for daily routines, games, activities, examples of concrete-representational-abstract progressions, and learning progressions for number and operations. Time will be set aside each meeting to discuss challenges participants are facing.
Each participant will be given access to a padletfull of resources for everything elementary math as well as a code for 4 months free access to the digital manipulatives site Brainingcamp.
WHO: This series is appropriate for classroom teachers, interventionists and administrators.
